The Piggery purchased Buzz Coffee, an existing drive-thru neighborhood coffee and breakfast shop, in May 2010. Over these last few months, while we have been learning all about coffee and running a drive-thru business, we’ve also been adding our own flair to the operation. You’ll find our bacon and sausage in the breakfast sandwiches, amazing breakfast burritos with Brad’s famous pulled pork, and we also have a full lunch menu that includes items like our “Pig Dogs” as well as pulled pork sandwiches and deli sandwiches. We also feature local cheese, eggs, baked goods, beverages, and milk all throughout our menu.
On November 23rd, we officially opened “The Piggery: Butcher, Deli, and Coffee” and we now have a full range of our charcuterie products available. You can stop inside or just come through the drive-thru! Our meat is available available Thursdays - Saturdays. As we grow, we will also add chicken, beef, and duck products from other great local farmers to our meat case. We are passionate about having a convienent local meat butcher shop and we’re so excited to be able to make this happen.
The downtown shop is located right off of Route 13 in the Franklin St Plaza. In addition to our full line of hand-crafted charcutie products, we also have a full coffee and espresso bar featuring regionally roasted fair-trade organic coffee, sodas from the Ithaca Beer Company, and many different local pastries and sweets from Fat Boy Bakery and Blue Wave Pastry.
